Mark McKinney (electic guitar, vocals) made his name as frontman for The Pawtuckets, and later in the Tennessee Boltsmokers. Their first release, Songs From the Floor, was released in late 2003. The sophomore release, Hydroradio. The name was derived listening to the first hydroelectric powered radio station in the U.S., located in the Catskills Mountains area. The Boltsmokers are forging a new musical path in bluegrass music that could only come from a collision of musical styles in that mysterious Memphis-way.
